DESCRIPTION:
The goal of this project was to visit a local art mueseum. We developed a booklet with the information of the exhibit and environmental designs that would elevate and complement the booklet and the work of the artist.
PROJECT CONCEPT:
Visiting the exhibit and researching the work of Marc Burckhardt allowed me to get a better understanding of what his work was about. Living in Texas and Germany, Burckhardt gets his inspiration from his old and new memories. His artwork consists of a combination of aged, satirical scenes that depict our world. I used a simple color palette that consist of gold, black and white to enhance his paintings and create a simple and elegant look. I also used close-ups of his images to create curiosity. The same concept was used for the environmental designs with posters, banners and wall decals of his sketches that enhanced the work displayed.
